While many people claim to know about Jesus, many are in the dark about who He really is. During VBS kids will explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals. Whether you're a preschooler or an elementary superstar, there’s something for everyone. Get ready to sing, craft, run, and have a blast while learning about how Jesus illuminates everything we do! We can’t wait to share this exciting week with YOU!

Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp FAQ’s

When and where is Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp?

Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp is happening at 2 different Aletheia Congregations on 2 separate weeks. See above for each congregation’s details.

Who can attend Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp?

Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp is for kids from all backgrounds aged 3 years old through to children who will be entering 6th grade in Fall of 2026.

What about Middle School or High School youth?

Youth who completed 7th grade up through senior year of high school can volunteer. See above for Volunteer Registration.

What is the Afternoon Program?

Afternoon Program is for anyone who has attended Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp who would like to stay for additional afternoon programming. Afternoon Program runs from the end of Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp each day till pick up at 4pm. Attendees will eat a bagged lunch from home then engage in activities that add on to the fun and learning from the morning as well as participate in classic summer themed games. The Afternoon Program is $30 per child for the week.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! We would love for you to bring a friend! Please direct them to registration so we can plan for them.

Can I be in a group with my friends?

We do not typically take group requests. Instead we hope to create a space where all children are welcome, can take safe risks to make new friends and work together to have fun! Email if there are extenuating circumstances that you’d like to discuss.

What should my child wear and bring?

Come dressed for summer fun! Anything you don’t want to get a little messy (or wet!) keep at home. Sneakers are the preferred footwear. If you’d like to bring a water bottle, please be sure your name is written on it.

What if my child has special needs?

We hope all children can enjoy this exciting week! Email so that we can discuss ways that we might be able to accommodate your child.

If I volunteer, can I bring my baby?

Yes, we will be providing childcare for children 6 weeks through 35 months for anyone who is volunteering during Aletheia Vacation Bible School Camp. We will not have childcare for babies during the Afternoon Program. Please register your child with the VBS registration.

Can anyone volunteer?

Yes! We hope to have volunteers across all ages and backgrounds come join the fun! We require all volunteers to attend a training session and go through a background check so we can be sure each volunteer is knowledgeable about their role and is safe with children.

What will a typical morning at Vacation Bible School Camp look like?

Children will be split into Preschool (3 y/o - completed Kindergarten) and Kids (completed 1st grade- completed 5th grade). Each age group will be further divided into small groups of 4-8 children that will rotate around church and do all activities together with one volunteer leader.

8:30 AM - Doors open! Get checked in, meet your leaders

9:00 AM - 9:20 AM - Big Group Rally

9:20 AM - 10:00 AM - Bible Study

10:00 AM - 11:40 AM - Rotations around church building to Crafts, Missions, Recreation, Snacks and Music

11:40 AM - 12:00 NN - Closing Rally

What will a typical afternoon at Afternoon Program look like?

During the Afternoon Program children will remain groups 3 years through completed Kindergarten and completed 1st grade- completed 5th grade to help accommodate each age groups needs for an extended day of care.

The younger groups will follow this basic schedule:

12:00 PM- 12:30 PM - Bagged lunch from home

12:30 PM- 1:00 PM - Story time

1:00 PM- 2:00 PM - Nap/quiet play

2:00 PM- 2:30 PM- Snack

2:30 PM- 3:30 PM Outdoor Play

3:30 PM- 4:00 PM Closing Rally

The older groups will follow this basic schedule:

12:00 PM- 12:30 PM - Bagged lunch from home

12:30 PM- 1:00 PM - Table Games

1:00 PM- 2:00 PM - Application Through Creation

2:00 PM- 2:30 PM- Snack

2:30 PM- 3:30 PM- Outdoor Play and Games

3:30 PM- 4:00 PM Closing Rally

*Based on the groups needs, weather, and or availability of resources, we may change this schedule mid day to best help our campers have a fun and enjoyable day with us.

What does the $30 fee for Afternoon Program cover?

The $30 for each attendee for our Afternoon Program is a small fee that helps to offset the cost of running a full day of childcare but keeps the price low so that camp can bless any family who is interested. If you have questions or concerns about the fee please reach out to .
