Advent Reading Opening Week - Encounters With Immanuel

November 21, 2020

Welcome to the start of the Advent season!

If ever there was a year we can appreciate what it feels like to collectively long for Jesus to make right all that's wrong in the world, 2020 is that year.

So, as we approach the day that marks the advent of Christ, we want to press into that sense of longing, of expectation, together as a church family. Each week, leading up to the sermon, we'll be publishing a simple reading plan for Sunday-Friday to build anticipation and understanding together, and we would love for you to join us.

Sunday, November 22nd

Matthew 1:1-17*

Monday, November 23rd

Genesis 1:1-2, 26-31; Genesis 2:4-3:24

Tuesday, November 24th

Genesis 12:1-9; 15:1-6 -21; 2 Samuel 7:1-17

Wednesday, November 25th

2 Kings 16:1-20; Isaiah 7:1-17

Thursday, November 26th

Isaiah 9:1–7; Isaiah 36:1–37:7

Friday, November 27th

Isaiah 37:8–38

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving this weekend, however you're able to celebrate. And we'll see you on Sunday!
