What does community involvement and social responsibility look like at Aletheia?
At Aletheia, Social Responsibility is how we describe the call of scripture to make disciples of Jesus who bring the truth, grace, and changing power of the gospel into our community and our world.
We seek opportunities to serve that are saturated in the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, letting scripture inform why we serve, how we serve, and the good news that we proclaim as we serve. We serve out of an overflow of the grace shown to us in Jesus, showing our neighbors the kindness, love, and compassion of Jesus Christ, whose Holy Spirit helps us to see the vulnerable in our world through his eyes. And we serve with the hope of seeing individual lives, and our community and our world, restored and changed by Jesus, as our service challenges us to be formed more into the likeness of Christ and to offer tangible gospel hope to those around us.
If you'd like to be a part of this with us, we would love to have you!
The first and simplest step is to get on the Aletheia Cares text list. This is how we get you info about one-off ways to jump in and serve in the community as the opportunities arise! Just text "Aletheia cares" to 866-579-0092 and you'll be signed up!
Secondly, we'd love to get you connected to more regular rhythms of service in a lane you feel personally called to. In Spring of 2023, the best way to get plugged in is to join us on Sunday, March 5th, at 3:30pm, for an info session and meet-and-greet with the leaders of our current outreaches and areas of service. Just sign up here to let us know you're coming!
If you have any questions about what it looks like to be involved with any of what we've mentioned, reach out to Lydia at . We hope to see you on March 5th!
